I would move most of this year's prospective starters to back up status to create depth. I know 2 starters make fairly good money, but low cost players would be ahead of them until they can be cut or traded.
Move 1: sign a difference maker veteran free agent at center or guard....if it means cutting salary, then do it. Want a big player. Think Timmerman or Whit signing.
Move 2: draft a center or guard with a high pick 2nd or 3rd....again, no little guys
Move 3: draft developmental lineman with a late picks/UDFA to create future depth
Jackson becomes left tackle
FA/draftee starts LG
FA/draftee starts center
Bruss competes with Coleman for other guard-hopefully Bruss pans out
Havenstein
Back ups
Noteboom LT
Coleman or Bruss Guard whoever losses out
Allen Center
Nsekhe Swing tackle
developmental lineman OT, G
Do not resign Edwards or Evans
dump Brewer
