Cheers to your post, and this has been my take from the get go. I don't understand the folks pointing the finger at McVay or the front office on this. What has their record been? Taking guys like Jalen and making them team captains. Now Akers comes in with his "misunderstanding" and "disagree with the offense" ridiculousness. Yes, the narcissism here reeks. He quit the team, but after a little talking to and butt pat, he's back and ready to go. Like a 15 year old kid.
Good for the team, I guess. I'm not a fan of players making themselves the center of attention, and that's when they are good. That style is the antithesis of how this squad has been constructed, and I don't see how you replant that seed in this locker room. We'll see how it goes, but I'm checking it down with a few other head scratchers this season.
