I like your use of all caps in the word IF.
If he's willing to play full-out on every assignment, and
IF he's not a distraction and/or downer and/or divisive in the lockerroom or on the practice field, and
IF his Achilles is, in fact, healed (with many RB's the Achilles is a killer, as it was with the first Achilles) and
IF he trusts it enough to plant and cut, and
IF the calf is strengthened to the point where he can drive off of it once the Achilles is engaged...
That's asking a lot, and it's not even the full list.
Burning question, and one that demands to be answered, even from my distant perch, having learned something aboiut the malady: Does Akers have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, nad if so to what extent, or is he a just terribly immature and self-absorbed young man? Or is the Rams organization at fault for mistreating him?
I kinda doubt the latter. The Rams seem to get along with everybody else who isn't a prima donna, head case, or outright pain in the ass. Other players bring checkered reputations to this organization, turn it around, and thrive. However:
If you mollycoddle a person with Narcissitc Personality Disorder all you do is empower them - to the detriment of the relationship or organization.
I don't want to see the Rams devote a moment's worth of time or a second thought's worth of distraction beyond what's already been invested in Akers.
My message to him would be: Man up, son. Nobody owes you a dime you don't earn.
