In no particular order...

- they are not confident that 2nd round pick in 2023 will be late (25th or later in the round) and were hesitant to give it up
- they feel that once Shelton returns at RG and Williams at RB that the offense will improve enough (mainly by being able to sit Evans...)
- they have played 4 top-10 defense in 7 games and face only two good defenses the final 10 games (TB and DEN)
- they realize they are not 1-2 players away and want to try and earn a 6th or 7th seed with what they have
