I think they are more willing to trade 1st and 2nd round picks when they are confident they will be 25th or later in the Draft order. I think they realize that is highly unlikely for 2023. If that pick in the 2nd round next year is #46-50 overall it becomes a lot more valuable to them.

And with Chubb, well, another team was willing to give a 2023 1st rounder.

By the way, the Rams are climbing the list a bit as far as how much draft capital overall that they have. 23rd in the league now according to Tankathon.com.
