First of all, poorly written. But anyway...

It's easy to cherry pick and say thing like "they should have drafted Deebo Samuel and George Kittle." Oh, really? Kittle was drafted 146th overall. Has become a great player but 31 teams passed on him multiple times. We can very rightfully critique obvious swings and misses like Atwell over Humphrey. No question. But talking about Kittle is just a lazy narrative. And they were going to take Samuel in 2019 when they had Woods, Kupp, Cooks and Reynolds all returning? Revisionist history.

Taylor Rapp is not a star but to call him a 'bust' is, well, not bright. He was the 61st pick in the Draft.. Played very well as a rookie in 2019. Was a good contributor to this team in 2021. He's a limited player, yes. But sorry, that's not even close to a bust.

And you also have to consider players based on where they were selected. We're going to say Gaines and Scott have not been good value picks? They both directly helped this team win the Super Bowl. Gaines has taken a step back so far this year in my opinion but again, he was a bad pick? Really?

Same with Edwards. The 169th pick. came in midseason as a rookie and played well. 46 starts the past 3 years. Was he the weakest link on their (very good) 2021 OL? Yes. A bust? Hardly. Their 2019 Draft overall can't be looked at as anything but a positive.

Akers, Burgess and Hopkins (from the 2020 Draft) have disappointed. No question. Even relative to their draft spots.

I like their 2022 Draft class and think it has a lot of potential. As the piece alludes you can't make any judgements on it 7 games in. But early indications on Durant and Kendrick are good and I think Williams and Bruss will become solid players.

so that is some cherry picking when you consider that .... he went 25 picks before our first swing in 2019

although I do regret taking Rapp right in front of DK that yearbanghead

hindsight is always 20/20....especially in the NFL draft

As I always say- evaluate a draft 2-3 years after the fact
