Well, things look pretty glum after that 49er game, however…

Rams fortunes can be corrected with just a few critical moves, I think.

Make a good pick or trade for a quality edge.

Same for RB. Probably an annual thing.

Same for OL. Another annual thing.

Same for TE.

Same for Safety.


The tricky part is getting good players at each of these 5 positions. Mediocre won’t do.

And for heavens sake, make sure any player traded for will be here for a few years. No more rentals, please.

My point? Rams don’t need a complete overhaul, just a handful of good players via either trade or pick. Doable, but not necessarily easy. Every team has such opportunities at every pick in every draft.

Problem is that the above can’t be accomplished until next offseason. Not completely, anyway.

Which brings me to this question. Should Rams participate in pre-deadline trades this year or keep their powder dry now and use those assets for next season?
