I am not sure how I feel about that 43. We have one a SB with mostly guys Snead/McVay have drafted/acquired. I think the misses are just magnified right now.
They also have found some really good talent in later rounds and UDFA's. You can't win 'em all I guess. Especially with the draft. I'd say we do pretty well compared to other teams.
My bigger issue is that we don't always put our talent in the best positions to succeed ie; lack of targets to ARob, Not getting creative enough with a speedster like Tutu, bad game plans and poor adjustments.
I think you missed my larger point, dude.
Obviously, Snead’s scouts and McVay’s asst coaches have overall done quite well over the years, especially considering that rams were bringing in lower draft picks than other teams. Winning a SB is the ultimate validation.
But my point is that in certain positions these same scouts and/or final decision makers have had blind spots comparatively speaking. These positions include OL, RB, TE, and Edge. The results speak for themselves. To this day those positions are areas of weakness despite the many picks invested.
I rest my case.
