No chemistry yet with QB who has no chance to go through reads, but has shown he knows how when given just a modicum of protection.
Going to a gadget player and a walk-on at this stage of the season behind current O line would only make a bad situation worse.
We need two things insofar as personnel changes are concerned: A back (Malcom Brown) who can run between the tackles, and vet linemen up front (we brought them in) who can run block. Their pass blocking couldn't be any worse than what we've seen from Evans and Kolone, despite the occasional assignment whiff from not knowing McVay's system.
Most important, they need to be playing in something other than what we've seen as a scheme thus far.
