I wrote a song once with the title
What'd You Expect I'd like to ask the camera guy: what'd you expect when he jumped right in front of an emotionally charged football player and blocked his way when he was exiting the field after a tough game. You thought he'd stop and smile for a portrait, did you?
One verse of the song starts off "What'd you expect/When yew went an' shot yer mouth off/To that big guy/At the end of the bar?"
Same thing here. The response might not be perfect or pretty, but if you behave in certain ways your actions invite predictable possibilities as responses from other people.
I think Adams' apology was enough. Otherwise, the league invites a rash of triggering behavior aimed at players when they shouldn't be messed with in order to generate lawsuits and unjustified payoffs.
