Ironic, because there was so much written this off season how the Rams had found the Holy Grail for building a championship team, one that can repeat.
They better get on top of these:
1. Plan now how to eventually replace Stafford.
2. Get busy on re-building the O line (this one is the biggest concern for me, that is, concerned that they will have the least chance of success).
3. Bring in a very good OC, or at a minimum, someone who can speak into McVay's ear in red zone situations.
4. Try to get a new DC who comes from a solid defensive tree (maybe Pittsburgh?)
5. I wonder about off season conditioning with the rash of injuries, but maybe it's just "their time."
McVay is young, as I have said many times. He has done an amazing job in 5 years and has a lot of learning to do yet. He needs more veteran coaching help, not just depending on young staff. I hope he continues to learn and can turn this around. It would be a shame to lose him and his potential high ceiling future.
