After another beatdown courtesy of the 49ers, McVay looked completely different in last night's postgame presser. He looked like a guy that knew he/his team does not have what it needs to beat the 49ers. I do not believe it is capable of being "fixed" this season. The OL is just overmatched, even when healthy, they are overmatched. Their depth is simply subpar across the board. They simply cannot run block and cannot pass protect. That is not going to change during the season. They have neither bulk nor athleticism on the OL. Unfortunately, the Rams currently do not have the draft capital to overhaul this unit quickly.
The defensive line has been underwhelming at best this season. Donald has been ordinary, and the rest of DL has basically shown nothing. OLB is producing basically nothing in regard to QB pressures. Donald will continue to deteriorate as he ages. I really question his passion to play the game anymore quite frankly. He is a first ballot HOF player; he has a SB ring. He came extremely close to walking away from the game in the offseason
Basically, the Rams are getting handled on BOTH LOS. They have no young talent on EITHER LOS.
I am not even going to address a beat up aging QB, no RB's, and 2 & 3 WR's.
So, I have the feeling that the window has closed on this current group of players basically. How does everyone else feel?
