One of my biggest frustrations - no. make it my biggest - with this D is time of possession. We can't score without the ball.
Conservative D, yes - but like running the ball instead of passing it all the time, I like to see a bit more risk-taking play from a defense. Keep the opposing O honest.
I didn't see today's game, not much of last week's, and all of the Bills game. That was enough. AD was getting tripled as often as he was getting doubled, and I didn't see any adjustments that freed him - maybe I missed something Jim Youngblood would be able to spot, but to my eyes, it wasn't there.
Can some combination of linebackers and safeties on our D produce a six-man rush? How often do we corner blitz? What can you guys who watch the games have to report?
I'm not asking Raheem Morris to morph into Dom Capers, but a litle bit wouldn't hurt. I'd like to more see 3-andouts, better field position, and more takeaways. Is that asking too much from our D's talent?
