I seriously doubt there is anyone on this board that doesn't like a 'win'...no matter how ugly it is.
but at the same time one can't help but see flaws where they exist, or where we personally think they exist. The Az game is 'in the past'.... very soon after that final whistle blows I'm into the next game... and I'm thinking about what I believe needs to be addressed and improved to turn that next game into a win.... ugly or otherwise.... but AFTER a brief - "this was Not good, how do they fix it".
There are the 'doomsday' critiques... I think most of that stemming from high emotion.... but probably a few that actually are of the 'it's over' type, even after a 'win'. But I believe that's the exception.... we all express ourselves differently so it's easy to interpret another's critique as 'over the top negativity' when in truth the poster being negative may not actually be all that negative... they just express their 'worry' differently than we would. But yes.. no doubt some criticism is over the top... I just happen to think those are actually quite rare.
Ugly wins I celebrate, as I think we all should... but I readily admit that after an ugly win my celebration is much briefer because there is a game next week to be played and it's time to get serious.
Not everyone sees things the way I do, however, and obviously. For example... I can be very negative if I think it's warranted... but I don't dwell on it... like I said, there is game next week and only a short time to prepare.... so for me it's "here's what was bad... yada yada yada and now lets move on". So I don't mind or regret being 'harsh' as a first response, (or overly congratulatory when called for).
It's Tuesday as I post this... for me it's "ok, that's what I think was bad... I've said it.... that's what I think went good, I've said it... what's the plan for SF with those things in mind?
I have what I think is a very 'bad', and WRONG, reaction to reading "a win is a win"... because I tend to take that as 'it's all good and nothing to worry about'... but in truth I think that is rarely the intent of the person who posts that. I'm sure the majority of the time an "a win is a win" is meant as "we goofed but won, that's great, and there is a game next week so lets move on". In other words 'same as me' but just worded differently.
Never the less, that is my first reaction as wrong-headed as it is. So I have to take a deep breath and temper myself.
