There are the scheme fit, guys you bring in to be foundational pillars of your team. They are hard to find but the Rams got really lucky with Bobby Trees and Big Whit. They were the epitome of "We not me' and let new free agents and draftees know what was expected when you put on the blue and yellow (I feel BWagz will be one of those too). Then there are the hired guns. The guys that fill a need but aren't being brought in to be foundational or even stick around that long per se, they just fill a need and an extended loyalty to the team is neither necessary or expected. This is more of the Von Miller type, though the Rams probably wished he had bought in, thanks for helping us to the ring Von as he goes on his way. I am not quite sure what OBJ is yet, he has an affinity for the Rams but has some Von like tendencies. Does he just like the attention or is he simply a mercenary? We shall see. Back to the topic of the thread I hold no issues with DJax if he is brought in with a clear understanding that he is a hired gun on a reasonable salary that the team has no long-term investment in. His exit wasn't egregious, just stupid and badly timed last year. So if he can come in at a vet minimum salary, I have no problem with him being added to the roster and TuTu being cut.
