How much is Atwell realistically likely to see the field, anyway?
He’s got Kupp, AR, Jefferson (soon), and Skow ahead of him. And I suspect that Skow is gonna be getting more and more snaps as a result of that FB McVay experiment.
Seeing Powell leapfrogging Atwell was a shocker, too. How else to explain that than McVay’s lack of confidence in Atwell?
Lastly, teams are defending the deep pass more aggressively these days which makes Atwell’s style less and less effective.
