I am bewildered by NFL Nation's refusal to recognize Matthew's greatness.
"Oh, but he throws picks ..." so did Favre and he was adored.
But the ability to steal games in the 4th Q ...
Nothing is more valuable than that. Not a damn thing. It is THE football gold standard. It's why QBs get W/L stats. It is overwhelmingly more important than picks, half of which aren't the QB's fault anyway.
The man's stolen wins stats stand alone. He won 3 playoff games in a row in the last few minutes.
And the maroons refuse to call him a top 3 or 4 QB.
I don't get. But I also relish it. Anything that prevents people from seeming to be favorites is good with me.
