Which promising young player do you want Rams to cut in order to save a roster spot for a 3rd QB that is a mediocre passer and will never see the field in a regular season or playoff game?
I’ll wait…
How dumb was McVay to keep him around last year on the roster???
I'll wait....
I can see both sides of the issue here, R2K. Last year keeping Perkins kinda made sense to me and I approved.
But I had hoped to see him as a better passer this year and making quicker decisions. Didn’t happen. Don’t be distracted by his running ability and athleticism. He runs a different O than the one McVay really prefers, btw. Not the best fit. The job here for him is to surpass Wolford and become the #2 QB. Ain’t happening and I doubt it ever will.
So, for me, I’d rather keep some very promising youngster that could potentially become a quality starter down the road than a 3rd string QB that already hit his ceiling and will never see the field.
Just my opinion, of course. Other opinions may vary. Let’s see what McVay’s decision will be.
I'm actually shocked by the dismay of some on here when pretty much most people are raving about his performance on Saturday...
Viking fans already trying to make a trade for him..lol
You might want to watch that game again...his playmaking ability is off the charts compared to Wolfman, no way Wolf avoids that first hit, let alone second hit on that 3rd down play...heck Stafford wouldn't have made that play....there is a reason McVay didn't let him get poached last year and would bet the house he makes the roster again.
He is much more valuable than some bottom of the roster special team player who would replace his roster spot.
