Player BioRagas (pronounced RAY-gus) earned third-team All-Sun Belt Conference in his first three years on the field for Louisiana. He missed the 2016 season after suffering an injury in fall camp, but returned to lead the team in rushing (142-813-5.7, nine TDs rushing; 9-32-3.6 receiving in 11 games, nine starts) as a redshirt freshman and sophomore (207-1,181-5.7, eight TDs rushing; 25-229-9.2, two TD receiving in 14 games as a reserve). He started four of 13 games played in 2019, rushing for 820 yards and 11 touchdowns on 116 carries (7.1 per). Ragas moved up to second-team all-conference in 2020, rushing for 758 yards and a team-high 10 touchdowns on 131 carries (5.8 per) while also contributing as a receiver (9-106-11.8, two TDs). Ragas was behind Leonard Fournette at New Orleans' St. Augustine High School, so he decided to transfer to Archbishop Shaw, where he finished as the school's all-time leader rusher. His father, Tony, passed away from stomach cancer in 2006. -- by Chad Reuter

Draft ProjectionPriority free agent
OverviewFull-sized downhill runner with four years of tape and production. He's a physical runner with tight hips and an inability to make the sudden lateral cuts, which limits his creativity. Ragas runs with matter-of-fact power crashing through arm tackles and bouncing off of defenders on the second level. He has the leg drive and aggressiveness to fall forward after contact which benefits him as a chain mover and a touchdown maker near the goal line. He's unable to hit the edges with functional speed, which should make him a one-dimensional grinder.
StrengthsHighly experienced with consistent production.
Forty-three total touchdowns in 49 career games.
Takes care of the football in traffic.
Possesses adequate vision.
Elevates physicality through contact between the tackles.
Unfazed by average contact and keeps the run moving.
Several career touchdowns came after heavy contact.
Subtle side-stepping contact once he gets headed downhill.
Used size to square up and take on blitzers with some success.
WeaknessesBroad and bulky in his hips.
Not enough foot quickness to wiggle away from penetration.
Slow to and through the hole.
Unable to get to the corner on bounce-wide runs.
Can't finesse through crevices along the interior.
Unimaginative running style is easy to find for linebackers.
Strong but not overly explosive.
Rarely a third-down option for the Ragin' Cajuns.
