all those old Football magazines would be coming out about now - with wrap ups about the previous season but most importantly their predictions for the upcoming season.
Before I got to the check out counter I would have flipped thru the pages to see where they were predicting my Rams would end up. Actually, I would have read all the predictions and had no need to buy the magazine but I would anyway.
If they had predicted my Rams to place first in the coast/division I would have bragged to all my friends how brilliant they were... if they predicted anything less than 1st place I would have told all my friends not to buy the magazine because the writers didn't know their ass from a hole in the ground.
I cannot remember much about training camp being reported in those days... if anything? I didn't know the Ram's roster until the preseason began.
Then there is today... and as interesting as training camp can be mostly it merely serves to remind me that it's still weeks before the season begins.
Pretty sure baseball is going on now... and I think the NBA seasons overlap one another now? But right now I'm thinking BILLS... and holy hell what a nerve-wracking way to start the season. - JamesJM
