Anytime you can add a high(er) end player like Wagner it should have a positive impact on those around him. Jones, Floyd, the DL in front of him.
He might not be quite the player he was 4 years ago. He turned 32 this week. But he is still absolutely a very good ILB and, combined with Jones in his 2nd year, they could very well turn what was the Rams weakest position group on defense into an area of real strength. And that's why I think even if the production at the edge opposite Floyd isn't as good the front seven as a whole could be better.
And add to that if Hill can be better than the 2021 version of Darious Williams then maybe the defense
as a whole is better.
