It's not Tutu's fault we drafted him instead of the center. You can argue that the center would've been a better pick. I was on that train of thought myself, but let's examine it again. We fans thought, and wrongly so, that we had NO center but we did. Our center played really well last year and we won the SB with him playing every snap.
The center we didn't take made the Pro Bowl.
Meanwhile, Tutu didn't have any catches for us. Zip. He barely played and got hurt. Based on year one we totally blew the pick. I'm with the vast majority here. Can't argue against it. But, instead of giving our rookie an F, I give him an Incomplete. We didn't see enough of him in games to judge his NFL ability. Now the coaches and players are saying good things about him. Saying he's working hard. This is good news. It gives us hope. We should all cheer him on. If he succeeds the Rams are better.
