We all have our opinions and projections ranging from hell get cut to star, but nobody rejects his ability to run fast. This guy used speed 5 times to describe his play including back to back sentences. Hopefully he'll be like Mighty Mouse.
)))
Im not sure about how fast he actually is but Austin was a burner and you could see it in his highlights.
I never seen that kind of speed with TuTu.
Hopefully he comes in confident and gets a few plays in to show what we keep hearing about this incredible speed.
I'll believe it when we actually see something.
Yes Sir, I keep hearing about how "blazing fast" Tutu is based on his 40 time and his college highlights but I haven't seen it transfer to the NFL level at all.
In the preseason last year he got a TON of reps against other teams scrubs and he wasn't "blowing by" anyone.
Also, when he returned kicks he didn't look that fast either. In fact, IMO, Powell looked faster than Tutu.
Track speed means nothing if you can't transfer it to "game speed". Especially when you are 5' 8" 165 lbs. Most DB's will just press him at the line to challenge him. He won't be able to get to full speed if he is pressed. He will have to beat the press in order to get respect and have the "free releases" that speed can take advantage of.
Should be an interesting preseason. Get your popcorn ready!)))))))))
So true! Powell looks like a complete punt returner in every way. He looks faster for sure.
As for being pressed at the line of scrimmage and having your speed nullified because you cant deal with it, well, I believe we seen what happened with Tavon already and I still cant believe McSnead wanted to go through this again!
