Ramgator
At least with the style of O we had. He was good at catching out of the back field. In all honesty, he played better than E.D. vs the tougher Defenses in the league. E.D. was great but....IMO....he hindered the Rams play calling, especially with John Robinson as HC. When teams stopped E.D. it was GAME OVER (See 1985 NFC Title. Never stood a chance that day) Greg Bell on the other hand, came up big AT New England in FRIGID weather, AT Philly vs Ryan's tough D and AT the Giants vs a tough D with L.T. As good as E.D. was I never trusted him vs the tough guys. Also, when the O was ALL about E.D., we HAD to have a lead or no more than 10 down. That was a MUST!
Not sure Bell was an "upgrade" over ED Gator but I like him a lot too. His game against Philly in the '89 playoffs was a joy to watch!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
