I was 13 back then and felt glad to finally get there and was proud of the way the Rams played. So close, but yet so far. Always felt Chuck Knox was a superior Head Coach to Ray Malavasi, who always came off befuddled. But I read an article where Fred Dryer said "With Ray, we knew he would take chances, Chuck always called the same plays and in the playoffs, teams knew what we were running." The 7 defensive backs against Dallas & the half back option pass by McCutcheon always makes me think about that article.
