Interesting he said he feel stronger and faster and probably quicker too. He also talked about blocking bigger guys.
Not sure how much stronger he can be in a single off season, especially when he is rehabbing the shoulder. Sounds like he is not gaining weight but adding muscle so this may take a while and it seems like he is doing what he can in this area.
Love that he is working with Kupp and Kupp will coach him to maximize the skills and talents Tutu brings to the table as a wide out. His skills as a wide out should be much improved as he has dedicated himself in this area.
There has been much said about Tutu special teams abilities but I would remind everyone that he only returned a handful of kickoffs in college. As a rookie they are all sucking at the end of a firehouse trying to learn everything and ST was basically an areas he had no experience with. I would expect that he will be greatly improved in this area. Even though he will probably be much improved Powell seemed like one of the better Punt Returners in the league once he got a chance.
I don't think the weight thing is him being stubborn. He is hitting the weights and working with a nutritionist which indicates he wants to add muscle and put on good weight if possible.
McVay saw a lot in this kid, the kid is putting in the work so now all we can do is see if McVay's vision for Tutu falls into place. So far the clues that we have gotten sound positive except for the lack of weight gain.
