In the big scheme of things that's probably money well spent for a network to lock up a guy to represent them for a game that dominates viewership. Tom's a smart dude and I don't doubt that he'll be very good at the job. QBs in general are the best choice because they know so much schematically. If I'm running a network I want either a QB or a cutting edge type HC in that chair and you're gonna have to pay to have someone you want.

What will be funny is if Tom plays another 5 years. But either way the network has shown its investment in him so it might end up working out for them if Tom's exceptional at it.

Colinsworth has been doing this a loooong time and like him or not, he's pretty good at it...

There is no telling how good or bad Tom will be....he's not the most charismatic dude.

Didn't Joe Montana try it and sucked so bad he quit at halftime of the Super Bowl in his first year trying it? along with a laundry list of other ex-players who sucked at it.....
Ironically NBC replaced Montana with Collinsworth the next year and the rest is history

I just thinks it's idiotic that Fox thinks it needs to give Brady $375M to get people to watch football......sad that TV networks and Amazon are gonna try to steal a teams coach like they tried with McVay ....that's not good for the NFL. Imo
