I don't think there is any pressing need that must be addressed before the season barring injuries. We can all remember when Akers went down in training camp and we were faced with the need to add a RB before the season.
I agree with the sentiments of 43 and others that an Edge veteran would be nice and that it probably ranks at the top of the list. I think that if a great opportunity presents itself they will take a swing at the ball. Say Clowney really wanted to play for LA and do so at the right price. I think they would do that. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening, he will go for the money.
Right now I see them keeping their power dry and seeing how things develop in OTA and maybe into training camp. Most things have settled down, we already have a lot of new players and our roster is very good just like it is. I think they will take the approach of gathering more information on their current players but will be opportunistic buyers if the right deal comes their way.
Donald and Kupp recontracts? Who knows other than both are already under a contract and if there is no immediate reason to create cap space that may impact how the deals are done. Also the soaring inflation rate for WR may be impacting the Kupp deal to some degree.
Seems like we have quite a crowd in the defensive backfield so I wouldn't be surprise if we trade away one or two of those players at those position during the preseason. Rapp if we are looking to free up some cap space provided he isn't the starter would be a good bet.
