Sometimes bad choices in FA mean you are paying for a player's past performance. Obviously a team that hires that player is hoping it continues. But, age, system, and circumstance must come into play.

The Rogers thing is truly off the charts questionable at best. As you say, they paid a guy all-time money and he's done nothing in to get them to the Promised Land in a decade. And now without arguably a top 3 WR in the game heading out the door, along with his second best WR?

The Hill thing is beyond staggering. This one is just plain dumb. That guy is vastly overrated as you say.
