Fisher made a salary based on his career record of over .500 and he had a Superbowl and multiple playoff resume and moved the Oilers franchise.
I won't argue that he didn't live up to expectations with the Rams, but he certainly was a step up from previous regimes.
With how bad the Rams were before him and how he changed the overall outlook of the team and franchise and started the build with Snead and handed it off to a coach who could take that next step and did, I am kind of surprised with how little respect he gets from Rams fans.
I too wish he would have won more and made playoff runs, but he is/was part of the foundation build that is the Rams today.
