Yeah...it's hard to argue with this. I know that I've seen several posts suggesting that there were significant philosophical changes in the defense...or that McVay gave Raheem Morris "a talkin' to" to explain the late-season improvement in that unit's performance. But I don't see it.
No doubt that Morris made whatever adjustments he needed to make to counter what a offense was doing in real time, but what I saw was the players you mentioned (and even one you didn't - Gaines) play out of their minds within (mostly) the same scheme. I mean...it's not like Morris asked Robinson to do anything different than what he'd been asked to do all year. He just started doing it...at an elite level of consistency. Some players were able to do it. Others (like Reeder) weren't.
With all that said...
Can't help but to wonder (albeit briefly) how we'd have performed at Green Bay.
