In 2017 Stafford got a max deal, $135 million with $60 million signing and $95 million guaranteed.
Now we're talking about giving him $45 million per? This team is trying to run it back, maybe make a 3-4 year run and grab a couple more championships.
I guess what I'm asking is, he really is looking to get a max deal? How about 4 years $150 million, $100 million guaranteed.
That would be unacceptable?
Or 5 years $175 mill, $115 guaranteed and we can void the last year?
Just spitballing figures here, but dang, at that price we should draft a QB and take our chances. He will lose some offensive lineman at the price he is asking.
