IIRC, Garrett got a good contract to come here as FA

He, supposedly, was on league lists as high priority FA.

This is a good developmental guy who didn't see time. Why?
I have to bet he hasn't shown top promise on Special Teams, which is where you start if your that player.

A full offseason, without a Covid issue, should reap some returns. He'll will get, or ought to get a monster load of work throughout the offseason, OTA, and X ball

Already on a pitch count, and with that mid season acquisition of Von he vanished.
Question has to be is that knee going to improve with rehab or is it that the best we'll get?

I'd imagine that they can't overwork him throughout the offseason, and have to be too careful with him in order to get him to the regular season rotation. This is really isn't a great scenario
