Departures
1. Offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel leaves to become the Dolphins' head coach.
2. The Bears hire special teams coordinator Richard Hightower.
3. Assistant head coach and tight ends coach Jon Embree was not retained. He later joined McDaniel's staff in Miami to serve in the same role he had with the 49ers.
4. Wide receivers coach Wes Welker leaves for the same role with the Dolphins.
5. Assistant offensive line coach Butch Barry leaves to become the Broncos offensive line coach.
6. Assistant offensive line coach Zach Yenser leaves to become the offensive line coach at Kentucky.
7. Senior defensive assistant and run-game specialist James Bettcher leaves to become the Bengals' linebackers coach.
8. Quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello leaves to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky.
9. Running backs coach Bobby Turner is not expected to be with the team in 2022.
