If you heard McVay's press conference yesterday it's clear he's definitely interested in the media job down the line.
I suspect what this means is a five year extension and then he's into the sunset. They need to groom a replacement for him at the end of his next extension.
I'm thinking they're gonna keep Coen around during this extension to Be his replacement or someone like Thomas Brown will be. But I think the final gift McVay will give us is a solid replacement when he's ready to go.
I hope it's a long time from now but listening to him yesterday it's clear he wanted to send a message that while he still wants to coach he definitely wants to be in the media when he's done
