Your scouting staff basically does not have to waste almost any time on players widely considered top 60-70 prospects. Because they simply won't be there at #103 and beyond. Teams with those picks spend an exorbitant amount of time on those players. Where as the Rams can spend unusually high amounts of time diving into those smaller school players and just anyone viewed as outside the top tiers.

It's another reason to not bother having Snead and McVay at the Combine in person. Let them sleep in, get home by 4:30, etc...
