Way back when McVay joined the Rams, Snead was ecstatic about McVay's ability to tell Les exactly what attributes he was looking for in a player. As the Rams' data analytics team evolved, so did the precision in their selections. Robert Rochele was a key pick last year.
Having said that, I agree with RFL that Rams have not been good at picking OL. But maybe Carberry takes the edge off of that - I don't know, but am willing to give it a try. If Carberry can work his magic on OL replacements this year, then I will be sold. Or maybe it was Whit teaching the young 'uns life in the trenches.
PS I'm still not sold on Noteboom. Yes he's great at pass pro but he seems to always get hurt, and not for just a game or two. Whit's value increased because he was almost always available to play.
