The model works if they can hit .333 and have 1/3 of their picks come through as quality contributors. It's too early to tell how the 2021 Draftees will shake out. I think the early returns on Jones, Rochell, Funk and Skowronek show that they'll all contribute more in 2022. Maybe Harris, Brown IV and Garrett, too.
But from the 2020 Draft (9 picks), for example, they netted Akers, Jefferson, and Fuller. That's a good draft.
Plus guys like Hopkins or Anchrum may continue to at least be depth players. Who knows, maybe they think Anchrum is a viable starting RG option in 2022.
