In 99 when we Won the Super Bowl a buddy said Vermiel is retiring. It was shock. Its nice to enjoy Winning a SB 22 yrs later and your HC not Retire as soon as you Win it. Vermiel said as soon as they handed out the SB Rings he knew he made a mistake.
Take some time after the emotional rollercoaster to think about it. Sure enough Vermiel was soon back to coaching with the Chiefs. It happened to Vince Lombardi after he Won the SB in 67 he retired from coaching to be the Packers GM and realized he made a big mistake and missed the side of coaching.
He then came back in 69 to become the WFT HC and then they had their 1st Winning season in over a Decade unfortunately Mr Lombardi passed too soon RIP. GO RAMS !
