Ouch! I used to work a minutes walk from that mall. Luckily a lot of players live fairly close to that area in Hidden Valley and Calabasas. I say “ouch” because the traffic stinks there on Topanga Canyon Road. But the mall that replaced that spot and the Westfield north of that have upped their game, so it’s going to be a popular spot for the players to hang out.
I’ve seen John Sally and—on a separate occasion—Tim Thomas, two NBA guys you can’t miss at the Westfield.
At least that will get them out of the wind tunnel, but it’s a way more urban area than T. O./Cal Lu.
Yeah, I was over in that area yesterday visiting the Costco.
Are they referencing the area near Victory Bl. & Canoga Ave.? Is that the space where Rocketdyne used to be?
As I drove by there yesterday, all I could think about was
How is it that this space hadn't been developed yet?Guess I have my answer. If that is, in fact, the space in question, I agree that Topanga Bl. is gonna be an even bigger mess. But I'm thinking that Canoga Ave. might take some pressure off as there's a direct freeway on/offramp at the 101.
And man...it's gonna hot there come late-July through August (easily 105°+).
