So, I don't think that McVay has any intention on not coaching the team next year (and beyond). But since he's still being coy about his future, I'm up to having some fun with this.
If McVay announces tomorrow that he wants to take a break and step away from the game, who would you want to coach the team?
My first impetus is that, with Woods (hopefully) coming back full strength at the beginning of next season and a couple of tweaks to the offensive line, I'd probably be looking for an offensive-minded coach.
Unless O'Connell hasn't actually signed the paperwork yet, I'm not looking to part with any draft compensation (whatever that might be) to talk with the likes of him, Shannahan, Taylor, LaFleur, or Pederson. That leaves me with current OC's or college ranks.
My first choice would be Eric Bieniemy who, I suspect, probably should've received his break awhile ago.
Second choice would be...Lincoln Riley (man...USC would be pizzed).
Anybody else wanna play?
