so, you saw improvement...okay, let's say you saw a soft defense early in season
and then late you saw an aggressive, I dunno, man coverages and blitzes
Here is the underlying point
WEven if someone's eyes saw improvement
it would have showed up in the numbers
the yards per game would go down, the
sacks would go up, the INTs would go up
defensive passer rating would go down
points allowed would go down,
you cannot play better football and have
the numbers stay basically the same
Also, we are not talking about just the so-called improvement
(not talking playoffs, will get to that later)
we are talking about FIRING a coach at midseason
Think out the absurdity of that for THIS defense.
If anyone thought that, they deserve to be called silly, full of poop.
It was never, ever, never ever ever ever a possibility.
And these guys are saying they were right to think but that
Morris somehow changes things, though the numbers
were the same, and that makes them right.
It's silly.
