The City fuel pumps where we'd fuel up the Fire Engine was right next to a football field where a few Pop Warner teams played. While fueling, I heard "OOOOOHHHH!!!!""" 'EEEYEEEEEAH BOY!!!" and....... "YOU GOT JACKED UP!!! " and the like. We walked over and watched and I saw Three "Coaches" having the players do a "DRILL" that had them practicing Hay Maker hits. Kids that did not lay out another player were lambasted. I REALLY had to bite my tongue. The Coaches were nothing but PUNKS in charge of kids. A week later, we watched a few minutes of a game from that "League" and I saw, from a bunch of 9 to 12 year olds, kids leading with their HEADS. I saw almost ZERO TACKLING. We saw a LOT of show boating by Players AND "ADULT" Coaches but very little in the way of fundamentals. I know that was an exception. But I also bet is fairly rampant too.
