OBJ has been on his best behavior. It's worked to the advantage of all.
He's been OK playing 2nd fiddle to Kupp.... for now.
What's going to happen when Woods returns?
Woods and Kupp are historically unselfish. Woods and Kupp are willing and excellent blockers.
OBJ demands being the star and will NOT block.
He is taking advantage of a very good, but temporary, situation to polish his tarnished image so that he can get a good contract next year. I have no problem with that.
Should he stay with the Rams, he would NOT be happy competing for balls with Kupp and Woods because the situation would be entirely different.
The funny thing is: he's really a #2 WR at this point but probably thinks he's a #1 and will want #1 money and position. He needs to be paired with a very good #1 to be effective. But that team had better have a very good QB, very good OC, and have a winning record and be primed for the playoffs. Otherwise, it'll be meltdown time again. Not to mention, that his new standard is the Rams. Good luck with that.
This is quite odd....He has been fantastic for us.....not just "ok"
He has made some great catches in huge spots for us this year, including that clutch 4th down catch that won the game for us vs Ravens week 17....... and incredible for us in this playoff run
He has been nothing but good for this team, especially considering we lost Woods the day after we signed him.
Wasn't the biggest OBJ fan before he got here, but I am a huge fan now......I think it's pretty clear that he enjoys his teammates and coaches and has adopted our We Not Me culture.
Sorry Rock, but I think you are judging him on his distant past rather than recent history.
Agreed, OBJ has been fantastic, his hands are amazing and he has made catches Woods probably doesnt make.
