fallacy: Tartt pick would have ended the game

January 31, 2022 11:28AM
The Rams were down only by 17-14 when Tartt had a chance for a pick. There was still 9:48 on the clock. The pick would have occurred 50 yards beyond the LOS at the 49ers 35 yard line. The 49ers were not moving the ball -- their last 1st down occurred with 12:02 to go in the game. That pick would not have ended the game. It was a long pass that would have had the same effect as a punt.
