It has always amazed me how true that statement is. I posted that I had counted to 2 million during OBJ's parabolic pass to Akers. Parabolic or Catenary? I'm going with parabolic because of the pressure on the passer and receiver.
And the number of situations that can cause that effect in football is huge.. think of it: How much time seems to pass to you when you're watching TV awaiting a challenge, or official review, on a critical play? Am I exaggerating when I say a week? Not much if so.
That Tweet Video I posted of the Lions fan who still supports Stafford... remember his impatience when the Ram's had to get up to the LOS to clock it? I didn't think they were EVER going to there. I remember saying aloud, (even though I was in the room by myself), "Don't you realize you have to stop the @$%@#%@ Clock!!!!!!!!!!!!". I'm pretty sure the Ram's knew they had to stop the clock... so why did it take them a week to get to the LOS?
Commercials, especially those at the 'critical times'. I think the NFL should demand the TV stations hold those down to 4 hours. - JamesJM
