I think it is a learning process. It takes time for a team to learn how to win and that they can win. There is definitely a mental component to what the Rams are dealing with. Once they learn that they can finish, they will graduate to the next level. Honestly, as heart straining as these victories have been, I'm glad that they are fighting through these things. Everything is gelling in just the right way for this team.
I certainly don't have absolute faith about it but I feel really confident about this team and what McVay has had to go through. In addition to overcoming his own shortcomings, a different component of the Rams team has let up and had to learn. As long as those learning lessons haven't been at the expense of a victory in the playoffs, I think it's all to the benefit of the team.
No one remembers the details about winning "ugly". The fumbles and snaps and decisions that were mistakes will fade but the confidence of having won will expand. I think this team is ready to play a complete game and do what it takes to keep winning now.
