Originally drafted as a DB and played both offense and defense. First Mexican ever drafted in NFL. First Mexican in the HOF. Record for most catches in a season and in a game. Big part of Rams first LA Championship vs. Cleveland with 73 yard TD reception.
Lot of great contributions from a great player who dealt with a lot of adversity too. As great as he was, the Rams penny pinched him on contracts. Literally broke his back for the Rams. Got blackballed out of the NFL for his connection to the film North Dallas Forty.
