The more I reflect on last night's game, I feel that we witnessed one of the historically great defensive performances in the history of the NFL.
The 49ers turned the game into every kind of situation that presents Aaron Rodgers problems: they kept the score close; they kept the Packers' offense on its own side of the field (for almost the entire game); they took away Davante Adams, and they did not give the Packers short 3rd down situations.
The 49ers defense had to win this game because the offense was not capable , and the way it thoroughly and systematically took the Packers offense apart piece by piece was absolutely astonishing.
