Ive always felt the Combine does serve a useful purpose. Primarily the medicals and the interviews. Plus it allows teams to simply see which players take the process seriously and show up prepared. It helps downgrade or eliminate players who do really poorly more so than elevate anyone that runs a great 40 or high jumps well. If a team has a player graded as a 2nd or 3rd rounder based on everything else then whether he runs a faster 40 shouldnt impact that.
